In the work of German artist Dorothea Piper you can often see no or only loose pictorial details, but the elements are there and can be seen through the play of light and shadow. The traces of free movement, the color contrast and the resolution of the images are crucial and reveal the impressionistic style. The lack of contours creates a variety of approaches for Dorothea's imagination and allows the viewer a glimpse into a world away from everyday life, which is full of burdensome details.
